Potable Water Corrosion Inhibitor

RXSOL-32-3113-025 is a specially formulated, silica-based product for reducing corrosion normally associated with marine and offshore potable/fresh water storage systems. Use this product into the storage tank will form a protective barrier-type film on internal metal surfaces. In addition, RXSOL-32-3113-025 will not impart any color, odor or taste to water being treated.

Potable Water System Corrosion Inhibitor is a concentrated, multi-functional corrosion control treatment formulated primarily with orthophosphates and stabilized zinc salts for use in potable and process-water distribution systems.

The product is designed to control corrosion by developing a thin, stable and evenly distributed protective film on internal metallic surfaces. The phosphate component assists in passivating and conditioning metal surfaces, while the zinc component enhances corrosion inhibition, particularly on ferrous metals.

The treatment is especially useful for aggressive waters having low hardness, low alkalinity or low mineral content, including RO permeate and lime-softened water, where untreated water may have a significant tendency to attack metallic distribution systems.

When correctly applied and maintained, the product can help reduce general corrosion, tuberculation, red-water problems and the release of corrosion products from iron, galvanized steel, copper and other compatible metallic components.
